What Does The A/t Stand For?

What does the a/t on the button next to gear shift stand for and what is this button used for?

Not sure what it stands for, but maybe automatic transmission. I do know what the purpose of the button is, though. You press that button when you are towing something. It changes the shift points, so your vehicle will have enough power to tow whatever you are towing. It delays shifting, so your vehicle doesn't bog down towing a heavy load.
