Help With Oil Weight Please!
Ok, I have a base model 1995 chevy beretta with the 3.1 V6 engine in it. It has 230,000 and I am needing to know what type of motor oil WEIGHT to use in this thing... It knocks a little when you crank it up with the 5W-30 in it....

You want to go with the lightest/thinnest weight oil for your climate conditions. However, for most drivers, this will be a 5W30. Your knocking issues are probably not related to the oil itself, directly (are you sure it is knocking, and not pre-ignition or another issue). Here is some information about knocking: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Engine_knocking
