- Turn off the machine and unplug it from the power source.
- Locate the fixing assembly by referring to your machine's user manual. It is typically located near the toner cartridge.
- Use a dry, lint-free cloth to gently wipe down the exterior of the fixing assembly. Be sure to remove any toner or debris that may have accumulated.
- If there is stubborn toner or debris that will not come off with a dry cloth, you can use a small amount of isopropyl alcohol on the cloth to help loosen it.
- Once you have finished cleaning the fixing assembly, reassemble your machine and plug it back in.
- To purchase a fixing assembly cleaner, you may want to contact Canon support or check their website for any available options.
Note: It is always a good idea to consult the user manual before attempting to disassemble or clean any parts of your machine.
