Unable To Install Mx892 Windows 8
Get message that priner drivers are already in use. Killed antivirus and all apps, restarted, had no effect.
Looked in registry and there is an entry for the drivers, but no program data associated with the entry, since the install failed. If I remove this entry, the same thing just happens again.
How can I optain Cannon software that supports Windows 8 for the MX892 Cannon all in one? Jody

I suggest that you manually download the Windows 8 driver software for your Canon PIXMA MX892 printer/scanner. The driver software can be downloaded from the link provided below.
Just select the right Operating System version to avoid conflict.

Got to http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer/products/printers_multifunction/office_all_in_one_inkjet_printers/pixma_mx892#DriversAndSoftware and download the MP Driver Windows 8 version. Install it. Go back into the Canon Install CD and install the software again, but UNCHECK the MP Driver.
