Setting Up Fax Mx882 Printer

I have changed phone numbers for the fax and am not getting it to work.  Do I need to type in the new telephone number for the fax to recognize it?  Can't remember or find the info anywhere. The  connections are ok and the phone light on the telephone lights up when trying to send a fax; can't receive either. Thanks, Lee Moench [email protected]
