I Had A Paper Jam In My Canon Mx512, Paper Cleared But The Machine Keeps Telling

My Canon MX512 had a paper jam which I cleared through the back cover. All paper has been removed but the printer still shows on the screen that "Error, paper jam" I have tried to clear the screen but nothing works. Wondering if I have to reset the machine with the set up disc. My Mac computer also states that there is a paper jam when I go to "print".
