Greetings - First you need to download and install Mac's driver & software onto your Mac Airbook intended for your PIXMA > then hook your PIXMA to your Mac Air using it's USB cable > the launch the PIXMA software you just install and look for the scan function (with your photo on the printer's scan glass of cause). The driver and software bundle is available here -
