My Printer Will Printer Will Print But Not Scan Or Print From My Mac

I can put a document to be printed right on my Printer and it will print it just fine, but when I try to print from my Mac or Apple It say printer is ready, but nothing happens. I just bought this Canon PIXMA GM2520. I went back to get a different printer and they said that this should work fine with my Mac. They told me to contact you. so please help. I need this right away. Thank you. I am not real good with computers.

Hello tobyward24,

You likely have the wrong printer driver installed on your computer. You should uninstall the printer driver that was installed, then go to the following website for instructions on installing the printer:

Canon MG2520 Setting up with CD or Online Driver for a MAC

To uninstall the current Printer's Driver:

Turn off the printer, if not done so already
Unplug the data cable from both the printer and Computer and set aside
On your computer, go to the control panel > Printers folder and locate your printer, highlight the pritner icon by clicking on it.
Click on 'Uninstall this device' and follow the prompts to compeltion.
Reboot your computer

Please leave the printer off and data cable disconnected until instructed to do (at the link above)
