How Do You Replace The Blower Motor And Resistor On A 2013 Cadillac Srx?

Symptoms of a bad heater blower motor resistor

Fan does not work at all, so no air comes out of the vents.

Fan only works on some speeds and not others.

Fan only works on the highest speed.

Fan runs all the time and can't be controlled with the fan switch.

You see smoke coming out of the vents.

Is a blower motor and a blower motor resistor the same thing?

The blower motor switch is the actual switch or button on the dash that you use to increase or decrease the fan speed. The blower motor IS the fan. The blower motor resistor is what allows the fan to work at different speeds as opposed to just off and on
