Dead Battery

battery is dead and car wont go into neutral of allow me to remove key from ignition

This is some sort of messed up security feature thought up by Cadillac. Not too bright, guys. Your battery will continue to drain if your key is in the "on" position, so you'll have to work fast.

You're only hope on this deal is to get a jump from someone. Let the battery charge for a couple of minutes and then try to get it back in neutral or park. Do not try to crank it in gear! It probably wouldn't do anything, but you don't want the car jerking forward when it starts.
