Need To Sew....

Bought a brother project runway 8080 on line but it was missing the manual. I have never used a sewing machine so I haven't done anything. I bought it to make small purse's. Hopefully it will do the job. I bought everything I need I hope except I bought thread for doing the fancy stitching. That won't work for purses will it? If not what will? The other machine is also a brother with no manual it's called a brother pacesetter. I'll send a pic. Can't use the new or old one can you help please I can pay
