Why Is My Machine Stuck In Reverse?

For some reson my sewing machine is only sewing in the backstitch setting,i've owned this machine for about 3 years and i can't recall havig this issue before. I've tried rethreading it,switching the stitck selection and turning it on and off multiple times but still the feed dogs are pushing the fabric towards me and the stitch is just a straight stitch.
