Call Distortion On My Bluetooth Paired With My Samsung Galaxy S3

I just purchased a Samsung Galaxy S3 and it pairs with the bluetooth in my 2008 Nissan Altima but the calls are distorted. Is there any fix for this? I know that it is not the phone I have because it works ok in my son's 2011 Mercedes. And the bluetooth in my car was working fine with my old android phone.
