Is There A Government Department That Regulates The Home Loan Industry?

over a year ago I purchased a home and financed it through B of A. They over charged me when calculating the closing costs and have sent me a letter saying that they owe me several thousands of dollars. However, we have not recieved a check even though they have told us they would send it out twice. What can we do?
