How Do You Charge The Battery

We do not drive the 2002 Z3 Coupe much and it appears as though the battery has been depleted.  The Magic Eye on the battery is black.  I have had a trickle charger on it for about 20 hours and it is still black.  Should I use a more powerful charger or maybe just jump it?  What is the best way to get a charge back in the battery?
