Aspire V3-571g, Can Not Boot From Dvd

All Windows 8 laptops come with secure boot by default turned on. To turn it off, you will need to go into the UEFI or BIOS settings and turn it off from there. The reason it's not showing up is because secure boot will only allow OS's Microsoft has approved of. Since secure boot is a new thing with Windows 8, it won't show Windows 7 because secure boot didn't exist then. Also depending on the computer, Windows 7 may not install because of the UEFI getting in the way and make it not work. Also if you change the boot mode off UEFI (this is different from secure boot), you will crash the computer so consider yourself warned. Secure boot can safely be turned off.
