Video Display Long Delay On Boot

Display takes up to 30 minutes to come up on the monitor when booting XP. It does this on two different AL 1716 monitors. After the Windows desktop finally displays, both video card and monitor work perfectly. Any ideas on what is happening and why would be much appreciated.

Since you have mentioned that you tried using a different monitor and the problem still remains, I believe that there is a problem with the Operating System files of your Acer Aspire T160 computer. The boot up process takes longer because of the following reasons.

1. Boot Sector files may be corrupted

2. The hard disk drive or Drive C: may have no space

3. There might be heavy fragmented files on the hard disk

Reinstalling a fresh copy of Windows Operating System is the best solution for this problem. You can read the user's manual for further assistance.
