Acer Aspire 5733z Laptop Hdd Password
The manual states to clear HDD password, you have to run an exe file on compatible device. I have tried to run this UnlockHD.exe on 3 different computers, all with XP OS but different models & probably different hard drives and BIOS. My question is the definition of "compatible device". Does this mean only a computer with InsydeH20 BIOS?

I am sorry, I have not tried that way, I would expect it to mean a Toshiba , but cannot find out any more on that.- I found the best way was to remove the ram and short out the two points as shewn on page 69 of the manual, with a paperclip. Incidently there may be a small oiece of tape over the points
