Can Not Get A Picture On My Hdtv After Hookup A Vga W/audio To Hdmi Converter ?
After I connected a VGA w/Audio to HDMI converter to my Acer Aspire Laptop Model 5733-6424, it does not get a picture on my Vizio 46" TV. I went to control panel in PC in Change Display and it will not allow to change monitor choice to external display. I only have one monitor choice...generic monitor 1024x768 resolution. Does this mean this laptop does not have an analog to digital video/graphics chip on board ? I saw a video on youtube that had # 2 monitor display change function...but my laptop does not have that. I just wanted to view internet stuff on my HDTV. Will I have to buy another laptop to get this function ? Do I need a laptop w/ HDMI to HDMI direct connect ? Can someone please help me clarify this situation ? Thank you very much. John McCarthy

What you will need to purchase is a video converter change VGA to Digital.
You can also just purchase another laptop with HDMI so you can directly connect to your TV.
Here is a link of a video converter, but you can purchase at any site that you feel comfortable doing business with.
