Laptop Screen Wont Turn On Acer 5534

From your question I understand that the screen is not coming on but the laptop power button and leds work.
If that is scene, try a different monitor with the laptop. It can be the screen.
Try tilting the screen because sometimes the cable is loose.
you should also try swapping the display from projector only to display only.
