Acer keyboards are not known for defects or frequent failures.
Anything mass produced can have issues. Not everything can be completely quality checked before leaving the factory.
If you are having issues it's just luck of the draw. If the laptop is under warranty take it back. If not you can either send it in for repair or replace the keyboard yourself.
