I Can't Open My Email After I Down Loaded An Update. Don't Know Why.

It was time to update my email. After I downloaded the security update 2012-004 version 1.0. I noticed a differenct in locations:the new location read /applications/Mail.app The 3-11 location read: /USERS/marygsanders/desktop/mail.app
