I Used Aarp Travel Throught Expedia. I Had To Change A Flight For Late Dec.

Not only did I have to Pay $300 to Expedia to make a flight change. US Airways penalized me $700 to change a fligt The flight was cheaper so I received a $1000 penalty to make a flight change. I am on a fixed income and retired. How is that possible? I am being ripped off by US Airways. The flight was three months away!
