Why
Why do I have to activate my new card? I do not want to receive emails or get on any email distribution list. I merely kept my membership which expires Dec 2014 active by joining up for another year. Do I have to "activate" to receive my AARP benefits and be an active member??

If your subscription has been paid you do not need to activate your membership card, it's done automatically on payment. If you need more info go here. If you need an answer to other questions, contact AARP CS@ 1-800-566-0242 for assistance.
