DO NOT BUY! Waste of money, time, hassle, disappointing bummer
We, unfortunately, bought this dryer at the recommendation of the dryer repair man who came out to our GE, which we'd had for 11 years with no problem. The repair man said that the new GE's were no good, we should buy a Whirlpool. He was SOOO wrong. This dryer is lame in so many ways..(1) the door latch has an inside hook that regularly hangs up on clothes (not overloaded) (2) the drying sensor is wrong 80% of the time, leaving our clothes both damp and completely wrinkled. When we try to retry them the wrinkles won't come out (3) If you have a very small load to dry, the clothes come out wrinkled because they bunch up together on the bottom or get hung up on the sides which jut in about 2" (4) the dryer buzzer is too quiet to hear if you're more than 10 feet away, even when turned all the way up! (5) the timed drying setting doesn't allow for the back up extra drying time, when you can't hear the buzzer, so if you forego the lame sensor setting, you have no leeway for not hearing the dryer. This is a lousy, lousy dryer. Do Not Go here!If we hadn't been in the middle of a family death when we had to buy this piece of junk, we would have insisted on the dealer taking it back, but, sadly we were out of town during most of the 30 day return policy-arrgghhh!! :^(
