I Upgraded My 3g & Lost My Ability To Get Mail. What Can I Do?

I upgraded my 3G & now I can't get e-mail. The error states the user name or password are incorrect. I cannot access the server info & have rewritten the user name different ways and re-entered the password. How can I get my e-mail function back?
