Stereo Mix Will Not Work On My Emachine Laptop Why?

I have tried every tutorial out there on how to fix this problem all they say to do is go and download a sterio mix drver on realtek I go threw the process making sure that im doing everything they say to do but when I restart my computer it dosent show up i check if the disabled diveses were checked and the disconnected was checked but it dosent work what should I do or download to fix this problem. Please!!
