I Bought An Item Without A Paypal And The Person Refunded My Money To Paypal

I purchased an item off of ebay, and a day or two later i got an email from the person i was buying from saying that he couldnt find the item and he refunded my money back to pay pal. well i didnt make a pay pal account all i did was purchase from him using a visa gift card. i had to type in my card information everytime i purchased something from someone. I got an email from pay pal saying my money had been refunded but i dont have a pay pal account so how is that possible? I went and made a pay pal account afterwards and the account balance is still 0.00! i need help!

Something is very wrong here. You can't use a Visa gift card to pay for an eBay purchase. It sounds like the seller refunded someone else's purchase. You should call ebay at 408-376-7400.
