Words With Friends Not Calculating Correctly

In ourcurrent game ( mathpi55 and monthfour), wewere notgetting proper credit when forming two simultaneous words.  Ex:  when I played vile I should have received credit for awl also but I was only given 18 points.  Please comment and correct!!
