Over Shutting Down

Brilliant oven but yesterday i had the oven on for 4 hour doing a roast dinner and a slow cook cassarole - once finshed i turned of the oven. 20 mins later i put the oven back on for yorkshires and towards the end of 20 mins it took to cook the over light went out and the oven turned off( I have not touched the timer or clock at all) - I could not turn the over on using the controls- after about 5 mins the controls allowed me to restart the oven
