Crossover Circuit
when i inspected the inside of this newly bought tower speakers, i found two capacitors (one for the tweeter and one for the mid-range speaker).. where is the complete crossover circuit?? even if these are all this set has, there should have been at least one more part viz., the impedance coil, to prevent the high frequencies from travelling to the woofer..!!pls help me locate them or find the hidden parts, if any.....!!

What the Yamaha NS 8390 have is a simple 6db/octave crossover with only one capacitor for the tweeter and one for the midrange, If an inductance coil is added to each branch, it will become a 12db/octave crossover, both designs have their advantage and disadvantages. Yamaha chose to use a 6db/octave design maybe to minimize manufacturing costs as well as avoiding some of the phase distortions of a higher octave design.
