Yamaha Apxt1 Strings

If you are referring to electric guitar strings, then no, while it it is physically possible to string an acoustic with standard electric strings I don't recommend it. That said, thick strings are not for everyone. I could not find anywhere on the Yamaha website that stated which gauge the stock strings on the Apxt1 mol are, but my Yamaha came with standard medium gauge strings. I use John Pearse medium light strings that I think sound pretty great and are a little easier to bend and control(I'm an electric player first, acoustic second), but I can still get the thick acoustic tone. You could also try lights and ultra lights. Most manufacturers have strings in most gauges, so just buy a couple of packs and see what you like.
