My Yahoo Email Account Keeps Freezing Up When Deleting, Opening, Sending Message

It works intermittingly. I can go in and check mail, but once I start to delete messages, it freezes, then I cannot do anything. If I restart my computer, it helps some of the time to get the email going, then it freezes up again. For example, if I click on "empty" on the spam box, it highlights every message, confirms that I want to do this, then freezes - I cannot get back to the inbox unless I sign out and re-start my computer.
