How Do I Urgently Recover My Locked Account And My Contacts?

My main email was hacked into on wed 11/5/11. Yahoo locked the account for security and mentioned I would be able to access my account and re-set my password within 24 hours. 48 hours later and several emails to yahoo help desktop I still have a locked account. I need to urgently access my contacts. I tried their customer service number but there is an impossible wait. Could you please advise me how exactly I can recover my email account and contacts? with thanks Daniela Coronelli
