I Am Trying To Find A Way To Stop Recieving So Much Junk Mail In My Email Accoun

i hace a yahoo account and i am not the best with computers and i am trying to figure a setting or something that can help me to not reciece so many emails and advertisements. i spent hours going into the emails and selecting not to be contacted by these sites but i am still recieving junk mail from them.
