Suspicious Email

I just received a weird email of a sort I've never seen in the 32 years I've been using email. The message had no subject and no sender. Stupidly, I started to open it, caught myself, and then tried to delete it from the opening of my inbox. It disappeared, but I can't see it in Inbox, Spam, or Trash. Does what I've described sound like a worm, hack, or virus of a known kind? I realize that Yahoo has been having email tech challenges. Could this in some way be related to that?

Yes, it could be. You were right to ignore it. To continue to try to delete the message, try these steps.
