Yahoo does not ask for personal information, especially in the form of an E-mail.
This is a scam which has been going around for years. The scammer usually tries to con people into thinking their account will be removed if the information requested is not provided by a certain date. If the scammer is successful, they usually take over your account and locate other personal information you may have on the account. Thus, causing many problems for the account holder (you).
So, please DO NOT RESPOND TO THE EMAIL. Report it to yahoo, so they are aware before deleting that email.
