I Have A Old Account That I Need To Delete Dont Have The Password

I have a VERY old account that I have not been on in over a year but it has now been Hacked and is sending out spam to the address book and I dont know how to get into the account or just delete it PLEASE HELP :0) Thanks

When you created the account you should have entered an alternate email address. On the sign in page, click on the link that says "Can't access your account?" You will be prompted to enter the email address and a code, then type in the alternate email address you used when signing up for the Yahoo account. They will send the login information to the alternate email address.
