I Have A New Email Account And I Am Having Trouble Sending Email.

It takes a very long time to send or forward an email because I have to decode these curvy letters and numbers. Many times I have to try four or five times before I "read" the numbers correctly. I have a vision problem, cataracts, and these tricky "verification" codes are difficult for me. WHY do I have to do this? What is being "verified." This is just a home computer used only by me and I'm not worried about somebody pretending to be me!
