To change your password:

You need to be logged in with the ID that you want to change.
From Yahoo! Homepage, click on your username in the upper-right corner.
From the pull-down menu select Account Info. (You will be asked to sign in again before you can access your "Account Info" page.)
Click Change your password. (The "Change Your Yahoo! Password" page will open.)
Enter your current password.
Choose your new password then enter and confirm it.
Click Save. You will see notification that your changes have been made.
Click Continue.

Remember, your Yahoo! password always applies to your entire Yahoo! account. This means that your password has changed for all Yahoo!'s personalized services:

Yahoo! Mail
Yahoo! Messenger
My Yahoo!
Yahoo! Finance
Yahoo! Mobile
