As you may have seen, the link provided by Ruddi doesn't lead anywhere. Perhaps Ruddi meant to refer you to https://watchlist.yahoo.com/. That allows you to possibly regain your username should it bcome available. There is a $1.99 fee.

Hi. Accounts that are inactive for a extended period of time gets recycled by Yahoo. They however provide a 30 days period of deactivation from the 1st recycling date - within which you can try and re-claim it back.

Go to the Yahoo Wish list page: https://wishlist.yahoo.com/ and type your old Yahoo ID into the "Enter desired username" bar. Then enter the current ID in the contact info bar. In the meantime, I recommend changing your Yelp recovery email by contacting their customer service and telling them of your dilemma.
