Old E-mails Old Sent-emails How Can I Find Them

I don't see a way to view old e-mails that I have deleted or old sent e-mails that I have sentor are they gone forever when I deletew them?

It depends on how long it's been. Deleted mail goes to Trash. The Trash folder is periodically emptied.
