Someone Has Changed My Yahoo Password And My Security Question

I cannot log in to my yahoo acccount,because someone changed my password and security question. I cant get yahoo to respond to me for a week and I need to check my e-mail and retrieve contacts. I have had to make a new e-mail with google,but I need my yahoo account .

This is Yahoo's advice:

If you notice changes to your account that you did not make or if you believe your Yahoo! account has been used by someone else without permission, immediately change your password.

If you still have access to your account:

Go to Yahoo! Account Info
click Change your password.

If you are unable to access your account:

Use the Sign-in Problems page
choose My account may have been compromised.
After verification, your password will be reset.

Report any possible fraud to Yahoo!. Contact Customer Care and supply as much detail as possible regarding the problem:

If you remember replying to an unsolicited email asking for your Yahoo! ID or password, please include as much information as possible regarding the email you received.
If you believe your password was collected from a website that was not Yahoo!, please include the full address of the webpage you saw collecting passwords.

IMPORTANT: If you supplied credit card or bank account numbers to an unverified website or in an email message, you should immediately report this to your financial institutions.
