Wrf989sdam02 - Freezer Is Working But Not Defrosting So Fridge Is Warm

Our Whirlpool refrigerator is 2 years old. The freezer is cold, but the refrigerator is not. The unit is not defrosting blocking the cold air to the refrigerator. How do I troubleshoot the auto defrost system? Also could it be the fan that blows the air from the freezer to the refrigerator?
