Washer Stopped In Middle Of Cycle

Machine stopped in middle of cycle (after the wash cycle I believe). I got an error code--F20 or F21, I can't remember which. I checked the cold water hose. It appeared ok. I unplugged washer, then plugged it in again. Error code was no longer on display. However the door remains locked (cannot get it to unlock), and it sounds like a pump is continuously running. I unplugged it to stop pump.
