Whirlpool Wfw9400ve Leaking Issue
Repair service came to fix a leaking problem and told my tenant that the replacement part will cost more than a new washing machine. I haven't talked with the repair service yet but what is this part? It can't be a door seal or hose or drain pump as those parts are relatively inexpensive. This machine was close to $800.00 and is only 3 years old. I read about an aluminum casting that gets corroded and fails. Could this be the part? Why would a washer contain parts that would cost more than the machine to replace? This is insane. Any info would be of great help so this repair guy can't BS me.
I live 600 miles from the house and couldn't look at the machine.
