Washer Won't Fill With Water

I went to do a load of laundry tonight and the washer wouldn't fill with water. I turned it on the spin cycle to see if it would spin... and it did. So my issue is that I can't get any water to flow into the basin. When I go to start the cycle I hear a clicking noise like it is trying to do something, but nothing it's happening! Please help!
