Washer Heating Element Seems To Be In Reverse.

Washer temp is suddenly now washing in reverse...Hot is cold and Cold is hot.  Rinse is suppose to be cold only , now the rinse is only hot.  We have not reversed the hoses.  The machine was working fine a week ago?  Is this a part we can change ...possibly a temp gage
