Side Mount And How Far Back

I installed this dishwasher using the sidmeount brackets. When I first installed it I drilled into the fram but the dishwash sticks out like 2 inches and the entire top panel is visible. I slide the dishwasher back so it's flush to the counter but the side mounts only screw into the thin sides of the cabinet and I'm afraid over time they will break. I did this bcause we have granite counters getting installed. How far under should this be and what can I do to support the side mounts
