Do I Need To Remove The Styrofoam From Inside The Air Flow Vents In The Fridge?

Just got this yesterday and noticed that the internal flow vents in the fridge section has styrofoam that partially occupies the vent flow space areas. Does that serve as cold air insulation or does it need to be removed? Any suggestions and advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks for taking the time!
